I’m taking a very small break from my Barnacle Bay project to bring you this unfurnished New England farm. I did originally intend to use it in my own game, but my plans for this particular lot changed a bit (more on that in a future post!), so I figured I may as well share it with you all in its current condition. There are no room divisions, lights, wallpapers, plumbing, or anything like that, but the build is fully landscaped. It’s on a big lot so I’ve tried to rely as much as possible just on terrain paints, to help minimize lag.
There are no carrots or peaches (because I forgot about them – sorry) and no speciality plants (e.g. cheese, omni), but all the other EP and store plants should be present, and they are all perfect quality of course. The build, such as it is, has been play-tested. The only problem I came across was that the tractor track becomes unroutable when it’s in use, so I’ve made sure sims don’t need to cross the track to get into the house; just try not to have a sim manually tending the garden at the same time as another is riding the tractor, or they might get temporarily blocked in. Here is the layout of the lot.
The lot for which I originally started building the farm – 432 Tidal Terrace in Barnacle Bay – offers lovely ocean views, and I have positioned the back patio in such a way as to allow clear views of both sunrise and sunset.
I hope someone finds a use for this shell! If you would like to upload a furnished version, please give credit to me and link back to this post. If you’d like to show me what you’ve done with it, I’d love to see – just leave me a link in the comments.
