EP Legacy Gameplay 0.4

Elisa and Grady were expecting another child.

Maria aged up into a teenager just in time to be able to help out with her little sister or brother. I gave her the handy trait.

I started having her run everywhere she went, to help her build her up her stamina for when she begins exploring Egypt.

I wasn’t in the mood for building, so Shirin and Leighton got married in a simple garden ceremony.

It was adorable how much in love they looked.

Clark aged up into an elder.

He was grumpy about it, just as he is about everything else.

To cheer him up, I had him retire from his job in the military career. Now he can stay at home and tend his garden, which is what he always wanted. His pension will pay out 150 simoleons a day.

Just as he was trying to tuck into his cake, Elisa went into labour.

It was twins! Elisa and Grady did not look happy at all.

Since I wasn’t sure how long it would be before Shirin and Leighton or Kristjana and Clark have children, I decided to make Maria and her new siblings my three heirs for the next generation. I called her sister Sara and their brother Naoise. He is a loner and loves the outdoors, and she is friendly and lucky. He likes Chinese music, egg rolls, and white, and she likes French music, crepes, and aqua.

Sara was a very noisy baby.

Her brother was much easier to look after.

During a family meal, Shirin revealed she was pregnant.

Kristjana managed to reach the top of her career, which was exciting for me because now she can perform science experiments on objects to give them various bonus mood-boosting properties. The animation is really fun too.

She performed a successful experiment on her bed, and now it gives a bonus +10 attractive moodlet.

When I had her perform an experiment on the family crib, things didn’t go so well.

Fortunately Grady had just arrived home from work, and his brave trait made him rush to fight the fire.

She had another go, only for yet more fire to appear. This time Leighton helped Grady put it out, while Kristjana and Clark panicked. I think Clark actually tried to put his hands in the fire.

On her third try, Kristjana was finally successful. Leighton put Naoise in the newly upgraded crib, which now gives a +15 inspired moodlet.

Maria spent some time hanging out with her best friend Susanne.

It was time for Naoise and Sara to age up into toddlers. Finally Sara gave her mum a smile!

The twins both got Grady’s eye colour.

In the middle of their birthday party, Shirin’s contractions began.

She gave birth to a baby boy, Kaveh, who rolled the loves the outdoors and heavy sleeper traits.

With three little ones in the nursery, the whole household had help out with childcare.

  1. So much fun to read about your gameplay…so many things happening at almost the same time. The pictures you provide are always an integral part of the story telling. Thanks for sharing!!

  2. Aw, you’re right, Shirin and Leighton look so cute and loved-up in the wedding photos! Again, that view is breathtaking – a beautiful vista indeed!
Poor Elisa and Grady’s glum faces exiting the hospital with twins – they are a nightmare though! At least they have plenty of housemates to help out. My pet-hate is when twins or triplets get out of sync in their sleeping patterns – it’s almost manageable when they’re in the same general sleeping/waking patterns, but completely crazy otherwise!
As always, gorgeous sims and gorgeous photos. I’m reading this in my lunch-break at work and I’m itching to get home and play now! Reading Part 5 will hopefully keep me going!!

    • Thanks for your lovely comment. Oh yes I adore that view! I’ll be building a new house once my heirs start to age up, so I’ll have to try to find somewhere just as nice. Fortunately I have a list of beautiful vista lots, which should make the search easier.
I know what you mean about twins! It wasn’t too bad in the end, thanks, as you say, to the full household, but also to the very cheaty swing chair from the store.

  3. Hi! I went back to the beginning and re-read the EP posts I’d read a year ago. I’ve gotten so far behind! That’s really interesting about the experiments you can do at the top of the science career. I haven’t had a sim reach that point, so that’s new to me.

This looks like it must be such a fun way to play (and write). My baby challenge is so restrictive. I’m not able to explore a lot of what the EPs and SPs offer. So, I’ll live vicariously through you … for now. Thanks!

    • So nice to hear from you 🙂

The science experiments are a major reason this career is one of my three favourites. They are fun to play around with, and can have really useful effects. They’re especially good on cribs for keeping the little ones’ moods high.

This legacy has definitely been a lot of fun so far. I can’t believe how much content I’d missed out on! I think it has also helped me feel more confident about building a wider variety of venues, now I that understand better how they all work.

I really admire you for sticking with your baby challenge, and for keeping it interesting for both yourself and your readers. You do such a great job! I have pictures for the first generation of an apocalypse challenge but I never shared them because I got bored and abandoned it. I really need something like this EP legacy to keep me engaged. I have no idea what I’ll do when it’s done! Maybe Barnacle Bay will be ready by then lol (it won’t) xx
