Rock Pool Books is a simple little shop I made to allow my sims to buy their books directly from the World Adventures register, rather than having them vanish into a rabbit hole. I’ve zoned it as Visitors Allowed, but, as always, just choose what works best for your game.
In my own game, I think I’m going to replace this side entrance with a custom rabbit hole door, so that I still have access to the book store opportunities and part time career, and for when I’m feeling lazy and just want to bring up the buy menu in map view.
This is the first floor.
I had a tiny bit of space upstairs (I mean really tiny!) so I made a separate comic book section. The second register is not strictly necessary as comic books are also for sale at the main one downstairs, so go ahead and delete this if you’re trying to cut down on the number of role sims in your town; it’s really just there for a more immersive simming experience.
It looks great! Makes me want to reinstall Sims 3 again so I can download it. 😛

You’re really on a roll with your Barnacle Bay builds lately. This is such a cute little bookstore and I love the idea of using the WA register to replace the rabbithole. 🙂

This is a really cute build, and you are making some amazing progress on your BB renovation. I really like the roof on this build and the little comic book are is a nice touch. 🙂

Thank you! Haha, yeah, I’m slowly working my through my list. My current WIP is a gym. The architecture’s done but I haven’t felt inspired to work on it recently xx
