It turned out that I didn’t need to worry about using mods to fix my sims’ degrees. As soon as they arrived back in Moonlight Falls, they had a little graduation ceremony in the middle of the street, all smushed together. Jeannie rolled eco-friendly, Marika rolled green thumb, and I made Marty a party animal.
Marty got a chance to catch up with his friends and family at Nathan’s birthday party later that day.
Among the guests was Cassidy Earthsong (get my version here), the girl Marty took out dancing during his holiday in Hidden Springs, who was now visiting Moonlight Falls. I had actually originally intended for her to go to university with him instead of Marika, but I’d been having some problems getting her to show up in my neighbourhood.
The chemistry between them was stronger than ever, and Marty soon rolled a wish to kiss her.
It looked like things were going well for Jeannie and Mugsy too. I had added him to the neighbourhood when I got back, and not even a day had passed before story progression let me know that they had got married!
Marty went round to their new house to say congratulations.
Spencer’s herb and bean garden had really flourished. I can’t wait to explore all the different effects these plants have!
Over the next few days, Sheridan, Selina, Blaine, and Spencer all celebrated birthdays.
I moved Selina, Blaine, the other Cassidy, and Sheridan out into their own place. Having two sims with the same name under one roof was just going to be too confusing; and now that Nathan’s a young adult I don’t feel so bad about separating him from his parents and siblings.
Nathan graduated from high school.
I decided it was time for him to break up with his girlfriend Lacie. He’ll be heading off to university soon, and she’s still a teenager. They’ve been in one another’s lives for a long time, so I was hoping the split would be amicable, but Nathan was pretty mean about it. When I gave him the command, he immediately started clapping!
Don’t worry, Lacie: you’ll find someone better for you.
And sure enough, story progression hooked her up with Q’oro the very same day!
Marty had been working hard at his new job in the sports agent career, but when the weekend arrived he had some free time to take Cassidy on a date to the beach. They swam in the sea and played soccer together.
I don’t think I’d used the soccer ball before, but I really like it: it builds the athletic skill, increases jock influence, and has fun animations.
Marty showed off just a little bit.
Quite by coincidence, Jeannie and Mugsy had decided to visit the beach too.
I noticed her admiring her wedding ring.
Marty introduced them to his new girlfriend. Cassidy and Jeannie enjoyed talking about their shared love of the outdoors, and Marty was pleased to be able to spend a bit of time getting to know his best friend’s new husband.
Marty threw a vampiric sunscreen at Jeannie so that she could enjoy the rest of her day out with Mugsy without burning up.
When he and Cassiday got hungry, he conjured up her favourite meal, before getting on his soapbox to proclaim his love for her. How cute!
